RANRU Mens Team

Rugby has long been considered a premier team sport throughout the world. It crosses commercial, political and demographic borders with ease; it encourages fitness and fosters the type of teamwork and camaraderie sought by many modern corporations. The Royal Australian Navy recognises these benefits and harnesses them through the Royal Australian Navy Rugby Union (RANRU).

Navy Rugby Academy - NRA

The Navy Rugby Academy (NRA) was established in October 2005 and officially opened 24 February 2006 by Commodore Bruce Kafer, the RANRU President.

The NRA is an essential component of our future capability. The NRA is about developing rugby skills, it is about discipline on and off the field, and it is about encouraging participation. Development Camps occur in all regions throughout the calendar year. Participation is integral to RANRU team selection.
