RAYTHEON SUPPORTS RANRU IN 09Royal Australian Navy Rugby Union (RANRU) has welcomed Raytheon Australia as its principal sponsor for the next three years. |
PARTNERSHIP FORGED ON BOARD HMAS PARRAMATTA
HMAS PARRAMATTA (CMDR Jonathan Sadlier) was recently the venue where the President of the RAN Rugby Union, CDRE Bruce Kafer announced that the 'Tour Sponsor' for RANRU's upcoming European tour during September and October 2009 will be the KAZ Group (now an integral member of the world-wide family of Fujitsu companies) . The tour will see the RANRU senior men's team play a trial game against the French Navy in Paris then travel to Plymouth to contest the Commonwealth NaviesRugby Cup (CNRC).
The Group Executive Director (Federal Region) for KAZ, Mr Michael Blake, stated " KAZ has been delivering on schedule and on budget innovative solutions to the war fighter at sea over the past decade with a minimum of fuss, and is now extending its professional partnership with Navy onto the sporting field . To that end the team at KAZ, in conjunction with the men and women at the newly formed Fleet Network Centre (FNC), is proud to be able to assist Navy Rugby in its challenge for the CNRC in 2009".
